EchoWolf Productions is a California/ New Mexico based production company, specializing in bringing high-end production value to art-house genre films. The experienced team has spent several years assembling a program that can be quickly adapted to maximize the dollars spent on low budget features.
Since 2009, we have produced several feature films for various organizations, providing everything from writing services to production schedules, budgets and breakdowns, to feature development and post-production services as well. Our unique team skill sets also include a current understanding and knowledge of the New Mexico Tax incentives available to film makers today.
Carl Lucas – Producer
In 2002, Carl Lucas completed his first screenplay, The College Program, a comedy based on his experiences in the military. His second screenplay earned him a top 100 finalist nod in the HBO original series Project Greenlight. Since then, Carl has written 37 feature screenplays, won awards in several other screenwriting projects, and written for Centropolis Entertainment, Vesta Pictures, Makeshift Productions and several others. In 2009, Carl’s screenplay, Ilegales, was produced by Three Sigma Management and he also produced his first feature film, Don’t Blink, starring Mena Suvari, Brian Austin Green and Joanne Kelly, under his home banner of EchoWolf Productions.
Since then, Carl has provided writing services for Centropolis Entertainment and produced several features in New Mexico including the indie comedy Roswell FM, the Sci Fi drama 0000, and the independent feature, The Rambler, which was accepted in the Midnight Section of the 2013 Sundance Film Festival. Carl has also received production credits on Sundance 2014’s The Signal, starring Brenton Thwaites and Lawrence Fishburne as well as 2015’s The Blackout. He recently produced the independent horror film Fender Bender, and is currently in production on two features, Gus Krieger’s My Name Is Myeisha and the upcoming The Wave directed by Gille Klabin.
Joshua Bunting – Producer
Joshua Bunting graduated from Georgetown University Law Center in 2010 and is a member of the Florida Bar. He began his career practicing insurance law in Florida, but interrupted his practice after a year to pursue his lifetime goal of a career in film.
Joshua’s first worked as an associate producer on the feature film, Roswell FM, where he met producer Carl Lucas, who brought him on Calvin Lee Reeder’s The Rambler, the following year. After the success of The Rambler, Carl and Joshua formed EchoWolf Productions and began working on a slate of original properties for the company.
Joshua has producing credits on Louis Mandylor’s The Blackout, the indie drama Cortez, directed by Cheryl Nichols, and most recently, the independent horror film Fender Bender, directed by Mark Pavia. Joshua is currently producing the feature My Name is Myeisha and is in preproduction on the sci-fi fantasy thriller, The Wave.
